The fear of making a mistake is a big obstacle to becoming an effective leader. We all plan to nail it from the start. There are occasions, however, when we are flat out wrong.
How quickly you recognize you are on your back and get back on your feet is key to success. It will also encourage our team to go beyond their fears and chart new paths forward. Mistakes are often the springboard to innovation.
General Patton nailed it when he said: “Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.”
Keep driving forward.
